Want To Be A Radio Star?

If you're available any time between 10am & 1pm on Saturday August 13th., and could get down to Elland Road, Leeds, I'm offering you the chance to appear on Radio Yorkshire, and be heard by all your family and friends worldwide here, and on DAB round Leeds & various other places in Yorkshire.

Here's the thing.  In this, the autumn of my glittering career, I have accepted an offer to do a Saturday morning show on Radio Yorkshire, and am very keen to play a quiz called Dead Or Canadian.  I have compiled a list of names, some you know, most you don't, and you, the contestant have to tell me if each person is either dead or Canadian.  Some are both dead and Canadian, for which you get a bonus point.  At the end of the contest, the participant who performs best wins the prize.

For the first week, it's a pair of tickets to see the marvellous thriller Sleuth at the West Yorkshire Playhouse.  In addition, I promise to bring in something from home each week for anyone who goes to the trouble of finding the Subway across the road from Leeds United's ground (we're above the shop).  Maybe you're off to Leeds - Birmingham on Saturday (good luck with that!) & can use Dead Or Canadian as a curtain raiser.

From my own personal collection I've brought in two movies - and even checked the discs are still in their boxes and rewound the tapes (I'm joking, I'm joking, they're DVDs).  There's one for each contestant; this week, the great political satire In The Loop, and the spoof Beatles story, The Rutles.

If you reckon you can do it, either tweet me @martinkelner, email, or message me from this site.  Give me a 'phone number & I'll get in touch.
