We appear to be talking about
unisex hair salons which Mrs M in her charming way was treating as some sort of strange new phenomenon, despite the fact that they go back at least as far as the Likely Lads, circa 1975 ("Bobby Moncur has his hair done here," Bob says to Terry.)
Other shocking aspects of the tape are; Alistair Burnett is still alive, and how posh I sound, not having had my accent corrupted by a Leeds-born wife and four Leeds-born kids.
We need more Caroline Aherne, but preferably better than last year's Christmas special...
