Just a bit of fun! No really, just a bit of fun!

It's the game the whole family can play.

The following statements are indefensible.  Why not give yourself 20 seconds at home and see if you can defend them.

(oh, by the way, it's just a bit of fun)

Scoring Home & Away
Bits and Pieces

There was often something a little rakish about the sports presenters of the past, a fair number of whom found themselves embroiled in unsavoury tabloid tales.  Here's a bit I wrote for my book Sit Down and Cheer about a couple of them....

Strictly, McCririck, and I back a winner
Bits and Pieces

I know you don't all buy the Racing Post every Tuesday, so here's a piece you probably missed.  It appeared in the October 8th issue, & skewers the BBC's relentless self-pluggery, touches on MillibandDailyMailgate (just ten days ago, but feels like ancient history now), & the McCririck ageism case, which seems to have evaporated....

Here's my Racing Post Column from September 24th, including at least two old jokes, and a full and frank assessment of the sainted Clare Balding's foray into showbiz..

End Of The Road - A Former TV Star reflects on life and loss
Bits and Pieces
Posted by Martin "That's the way to do it" Kelner on Jul 23, 2013 - 5:05:13 PM
Here's a piece I wrote, possibly for The Independent maybe just for this website, back in 2007, inspired - if that's the word I'm looking for - by the closure of The World Of Sooty in Shipley, one of the world's great crap days out....

Here's another Screen Break "classic."  From Dec 15, 2007, when your columnist was mourning the loss of the grizzled sports presenters of his youth, replaced by young good-looking vanilla-flavoured TV types......
