Stalkers Guide
The Free Martin Kelner Show
By Martin "competitively priced" Kelner
Oct 5, 2009 - 5:12:56 PM

I have not said too much about it, because I prefer a soft opening (if you know what I am saying, missus), but after several minutes of talks with Mansfield 103.2, the home of great music, I have negotiated with the management a fee of precisely nothing to bring back to the airwaves the Fabulous Late Martin Kelner Show, enjoyed by literally thousa...er,a few people back in the '90s and early '00s...

In return for the services of a semi-professional broadcaster for no fee - although they are giving me petrol money, bless them - I am utterly and completely not beholden to the Man. I have carte blanche (Edouard, what's the French for carte blanche?) to say what I want and play what I want....So clearly, the station slogan, The Home of Great Music, may have to be changed...

The good news is the show will be available to my fanbase (believed to be a reference to the Hopkins family of Chester Le Street) streamed live on www.mansfield103.co.uk 10pm - 12 midnight every Saturday night..

If, on the other hand, you are fortunate enough to live in the Mansfield, Bolsover, and Pleasleyhill travel-to-work area, you can hear it for as long as it lasts on 103.2 FM.

On the first show we plan to air a desparate plea for sponsors. In return for one pound your company can sponsor the whole show for a pound with your name on all our imaging and mentioned in every link; but as soon as you are outbid, your name will be removed, replaced by the new sponsor, and your company will be dragged mercilessly through the mud....

So, come on, post-industrial Nottinghamshire, you may have lost the mines, the brewery, the Kodak factory, and pretty well every other vestige of a once proud industrial past, but we can still laugh. Can't we?
